Call for best practices on healthy and sustainable food systems

We would like to inform you about a joint initiative of the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety and the Austrian Presidency to collect and promote best practices on "healthy and sustainable food systems". All stakeholders are invited to  submit evaluated best practice examples that contribute to healthy and sustainable food systems and have a strong focus on:

  • multi-sectorial collaboration (e.g. agriculture, health and marketing);
  • visibility of co-benefits for health and other sectors involved in the governance of the Food System;
  • demonstrate the potential for change and innovation in the Food System;
  • explicit contribution to reaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the WHO targets on non-communicable diseases.
