CENSIS 2016 university ranking: UNISS one of the leading institutions
Università di Sassari has been classified again on the third place in the national Censis-Repubblica university ranking, among “medium-sized Universities” (10.000 to 20.000 students), excelling over other 14 universities. In comparison with 2015, when UNISS was competing against 14 institutions, that is, two less than 2016, the general average score has rised from 95.4 to 95.8.
UNISS has been awarded the highest score (110) in the “Facility” indicator, related to the percentage of available classrooms, libraries and scientific labs based on the number of enrolled students. A major increase also is quite visble in the “digital services” category, 33% higher than 2015 (from 78 to 104) and second best at national level, right behind Trento.
Best position in the “internationalization” category, a flagship objective for the Strategic Plan promoted by the University Chief Executives (from 96 to 98). The indicator evaluates the number of students with a foreign entry qualification, international mobilities, and the investment in international activities.
"In general, I am very pleased that our University keeps up with its excellent performance, although available funds are lower and lower each year, and the competition among Italian Universities it getting greater and greater”, Rector Massimo Carpinelli says.
