
Clive Muholland is the new RETI President
On July 24th, 2016 Professor Clive Muholland, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UK) was elected President of the Excellence Network of Island Territories.
Professor Mulholland began his career in the scientific civil service before moving to the NHS and eventually to the university sector. Originally a biomedical scientist by training, over the last 15 years he has developed a particular expertise in how new technologies can be exploited to enhance the student experience, both in and out of the classroom.
Professor Mulholland is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Senior Fellow Higher Education Academy and is a Chartered Scientist.
The University of Sassari is actively involved in the RETI activities and joined the network 5 years ago, as part of the internationalization strategy developed by the governing bodies on the University.
