New tool to help researchers
The “Facs Canto II” device is an easy-to-use benchtop analyzer that will be used by researchers to learn more about the use pf graphene in the field of medicine. The “Laboratorio di Biochimica e Bionanotecnologie” of the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the University of Sassari will carry on research activities on therapies to cure leukemia.
"The first experiments have shown that a particular functionalized nano-material is effective in patients suffering from myelomonocytic leukemia – researcher Lucia Delogu claims – but research must go on to increase the number of case studies and understand how the process works. Major therapeutic developments will be available in the future. Facs Canto II will help us get there.”
