The Rector of the University of Sassari, Massimo Carpinelli, and the Senate welcomed Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the President of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, Francesco Pigliaru .

The "Pact for Sardinia” was signed at the Aula Magna of the University in front of the authorities and a delegation representing the regional academia.

The pact allocates EUR 2.9 million to develop infrastructures, environmentally-friendly initiatives, energy, promotion of tourism and culture in Sardinia.
