SEMINAR: Working in the field of international cooperation
While waiting for the First National Forum of Cooperation, on Monday, October 2 a new stage of the project "International cooperation - Our future in the world" will be held in Sassari. The Italian Director of the Agency for Development Cooperation, Laura Frigenti is currently visiting Italian universities to provide professional advice for young people interested in international cooperation and provide them with the tools to meet market demand. The director will meet the students of the University of Sassari at 3.00 pm at the SEGNI classroom in the Viale Mancini department.
This national tour includes a series of "Info-days on job opportunities in the field of International Cooperation".
Job opportunities will be presented to the youth and participants will be informed on how to apply for scholarships offered by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) for the year 2018.
These meetings are part of the process leading to the First National Forum of Cooperation. Ideas and initiatives of special interest will be explored and prepared to be discussed during the Forum to boost international cooperation.
In Sassari, this meeting is particularly important as it will be held during the inauguration of the three-year degree course on "Safety and international cooperation": a new training program the University of Sassari launched for first time at national level in 2016/2017. The course aims to train experts capable of performing operational, coordination, direction, training and monitoring activities in national and international contexts in the field of environmental safety, human, food and health security and peace - support operations . The origin, objectives and structure of this innovative degree program will be presented by coordinator prof. Quirico Migheli. The evening meeting with students will be opened in the morning by a general presentation of the University to illustrate the activities carried out by the University of Sassari in the fields of cooperation and development. In addition to Rector Massimo Carpinelli, the event will be attended by Councilor for General Affairs of the Sardinia Region, Filippo Spanu, who is also responsible for Development Cooperation.
