USE OF URBAN AND INDUSTRIAL RESIDUES IN FOREST SOILS

The seminar will focus on issues connected to organic and inorganic industrial waste in forest soils in tropical areas. The seminar will be held by Iraê Amaral Guerrini, Professor of Soil Science at Universida de Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), in Botucatu (Brasile), regarded as one of the top-50 “young” universities in the world (that is, founded less than 40 years ago).

Her research focuses on the ownership and management of forest soils, plant nutrition, soil fertility and the use and management of urban and industrial waste in tropical soils.

She is a member and coordinator of several research teams and she collaborates with a great number of international universities.

Participants will be awarded 0.25 CFU credits, the seminar being held in collaboration with Professors Gian Franco Capra, Raffaella Lovreglio and Roberto Scotti
