Gloria Pungetti
Bio
Professor Gloria Pungetti is Founder Chair of Biocultural Landscape and Seascape at the University of Sassari, Italy. She is also Founder of the Cambridge Center for Landscape and People and Chair of the Darwin College Society, University of Cambridge, UK. She coordinates international initiatives and European projects on holistic landscape research, is coeditor-in-chief of IMIC Journal, and sits on boards of journals and international working groups, including Biocultural Landscape by IALE International.
Group
Recognition and understanding of the natural and cultural values of landscape, seascape, heritage, species and their ecosystems are fundamental in holistic landscape research. The Biocultural Landscape and Seascape research group, coordinated by Prof Pungetti, aims to support the link between ecological and cultural diversity, and to demonstrate ways in which biocultural landscape can contribute to the conservation of both nature and culture. The group at CBLS is linked to IALE International, SIEP and the Universites of Cambridge, Toronto, Mokpo and AUB.
