The "Erasmus Welcome Day" ceremony dedicated to the 2014/15 incoming students took place on October 10th. The ceremony started with a speech of the Rector, Prof. Attilio Mastino, followed by the newly-elected Rector, Massimo Carpinelli, the Mayor of Sassari, Dott. Nicola Sanna, the Delegates for International Student Mobility, Prof. Piero Sanna and Prof. Giuseppe Moniello, a representative of the ESN association, Dario Vacca and the President of the ESN, Sabrina Ledda.
Musicians from the "Luigi Canepa" Academy of Music of Sassari and the Trinità d'Agultu choir, "Confraternità Santa Croce", played music and traditional Sardinian chants during the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony was played a short video on the "Gastronomic Eurotrip" organised by the ESN Sassari association in May 2014 . The video was realised by Jesús Zamorano and Carlos Breijo, both Erasmus students in 2013/14. 
The Erasmus Welcome Day was the main happening of the "Erasmus Welcome Week" during which the ESN organized several activities for incoming students, such as the "City Game", the "Speed Dates" or the "Ice-Breaking Games", the "International Karaoke Night" and the "Champions Beer".
