The project aimed to develop a monitoring operative system of the desertification based on remote sensing technologies and data to support the national and regional authority of the Annex IV country to implement the UNCCD. The system will support the evaluation and the monitoring of desertification and its change during the time. The system will be based on consolidated techniques and algorithms for Remote Sensing data elaboration to provide institutional user with a highly reliable and standardized tool.
