Teaching and staff mobility

Erasmus+ incoming mobility

Erasmus Plus

Incoming mobilities are always welcomed by the University of Sassari. No staff week events are usually organized by UNISS, but due attention is paid to each and every foreign colleague wishing to come to our university to exchange experience and acquire more information about who we manage our daily activities.

The University of Sassari does not provide board and lodging services.
Visits to departmental structures and meetings with UNISS colleagues may also be scheduled with a one/two week notice.

All incoming scholars and administrative staff units who are eligible to benefit from Erasmus grants for staff or teaching mobility, are welcome to come and visit our facilities at almost any time during the year.

For teaching purposes, incoming scholars are highly recommended to contact the person responsible for such activities at the Department of destination. See "List of contact persons" below

REQUIREMENT: Incoming mobilities will be accepted only if the relevant inter-institutional agreement is fully executed before the start of the proposed activities.

For further information, please contact the IRO's staff by sending an email to: felix@uniss.it .

Visiting professor programme

Visiting Professor Programme

Professors and researchers may also apply for a UNISS incoming mobility dedicated programme: the Visiting Professor Programme. It was launched in 2006 with the aim of promoting the international projection of the whole Sardinian university system.

For this purpose, every year the University of Sassari publishes one or more international call (according to fund availability) to select an average number of 130 highly qualified scholars from all over the world.

Applications may be filed by both full (or assistant) professors and researchers, currently employed at a foreign university and interested in collaborating with the University of Sassari, giving their scientific contribution in their specific teaching and/or research fields of expertise.

On the basis of the profiles requested by the Departments of the University of Sassari, candidates may apply for either short-term visits (10 to 40 days) or for long-term visits (3 to 6 months).

The Program is funded by the Regional Government of Sardinia (Regione Autonoma della Sardegna - RAS), that allocates funds to the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari, on the basis of a three-year covenant (Resolution No 56/21 of 29/12/2009).
