Other international programmes

The University of Sassari promotes and supports several mobility initialive dedicated to foreign students, scholars and researchers, enrolled at partner universities. The need for a more effective approach to internationalization has been acknowledged and new international bonds have be tightened to support scientific and academic initiative.
Access to the following programmes is limited to foreign students; nonetheless, several partner universities and institutions have launched "mirror" programmes to foster incoming mobility.

Incoming students may freely attend any course held at undergraduate, graduate, master's degree, or PhD level, by participating in this dedicated incoming mobility programme. Courses held at different departments may also be combined, creating a multidisciplinary study plan to suit individual aims and interests.

Faro Global

The FARO Global programme offers students studying their final degree courses in Spanish Universities the possibility of carrying out a period of work experience in companies situated in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. Its main purpose is to encourage the insertion of university students in the labor world by improving their competences, aptitudes and skills. For further information, please visit the offical webpage.

Specialist International Clinical Training Project (SICT)

UNISS offers all Chinese medical doctors the opportunity to participate in the "Specialist International Clinical Training" (SICT) project, an initiative coordinated by the University of Sassari in collaboration with the University Hospital of Sassari and supported by ERSU and ATP Sassari.

Rector Massimo Carpinelli first launched the project in 2015. All participants are engaged in a highly specialized training course lasting three months to hone their expertise in the management and performance of clinical activities. Field-specific activities are also organized based on the specific profiles of trainees.

Sardegna Formed

Sardegna FORMED is a project aimed at enhancing the internationalization and the cultural enrichment of the Sardinia territory and in particular the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari. The allocation of funds provided covers 100 scholarships for students coming from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria covering the whole course of study chosen by the students. Each month, UNIMED in collaboration with the hosting Sardinian universities, performs a quality control to evaluate the academic path of the students.
Sardegna FORMED partners are the Muhammad V University in Rabat, the University of Algiers 2 and the University of Tunis and the Conseil de la communauté marocaine à l’étranger, all institutions with which relations have been built and facilitated by UNIMED. Successful students will complete their entire course of study (undergraduate or master) in order to ensure a long-term impact for the region and the hosting institutions.
