Knowledge and know-how:
The teaching is based on linguistic, literary and cultural texts, and on a multiplicity of interactive methods. This allows students to acquire a considerable understanding of Italian and foreign languages, and of the variety of theoretical and practical problems that may arise in communication. Thanks to lectures, seminars, language laboratories, conferences and film shows, students will acquire a strong linguistic competence, and a high understanding of the languages’s cultural environments.
Ability to apply knowledge and know-how:
Because of the knowledge and skills gained via lectures, readings, papers, language laboratories, information technology, conferences and film shows, students graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation are able to deal with foreign cultures’s texts, people and institutions, with cleverness and critical attitude. By means of the learned linguistic and cultures tools they can tackle the many problematic situations unavoidably arising from every cultural interchange.
