b) The course of study in short
There are two years of lectures in the course of study leading to a second level degree in Communication and Public
Administration.
The degree earned may lie either in Italian Ministry Class LM-59, Advertising and communication for the public and
private sectors or in Italian Ministry Class LM-63, Public administration. At the time of enrollment each student must
choose between these two classes. This choice can be changed later, but it becomes final when the student enrolls
for the second year.
This course of study has two tracks: a) the Management and Public Administration track and b) the Digital
Administration Technology track.
The course aims to train a professional capable of carrying out activities in the design and implementation of policies
for local development, for the improvement of public services, for the empowerment of citizens and the
rapprochement of the citizens to the public administration. In each of these areas, the sciences of administration and
communication sciences have provided an essential contribution. The course aims not only to provide adequate
cognitive tools of the processes in progress, but also to train professionals able to implement and manage the policy
change.
The academic program includes the study of disciplines and the acquisition of methods to carry out managerial
responsibilities in the communication functions of public administrations, finding information from heterogeneous
information systems, which are those of public administrations, and to treat them according to an integrated
perspective. For this purpose training activities in different scientific areas are planned, allowing students the
acquisition of legal-administrative analysis tools, other than statistical, sociological, economic, organizational,
technological and communicative skills. The course also includes the study of methods for the identification and
management of information flows for the decision-making system, and the learning of methods of organizational
changes and planning of communication administrative processes
