The main function of the professional profile of the graduate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology is the coordination in the chemical/technological and pharmaceutical research in public and private structures.
In addition, with the acquisition of the qualification of pharmacist profession, this figure can be a key element of connection between the patient, physician and public health structures, collaborating to drug monitoring in the territory, the implementation of the therapy in the field both territorial and hospital and providing the patient and at the same medical information essential to the proper use of drugs.
Under the directive 85/432/CEE, the graduates in CTF may perform professional activities:
a) pharmaceutical industry (sectors dedicated to research, development, production, quality control and registration of medicinal products or other biologically active substance);
b) cosmetic or food companies, technical management of production plants, medical/diagnostic devices, medical/surgical, biocide or phytohealth products;
c) research activities at universities or at public or private entities:
d) profession of Pharmacist, according to directive 2005/36/EEC.
The course provides a preparation for the professions of:
Chemistry company representatives
Pharmacists and similar professions (hospital pharmacist)
Researchers and technicians with degree in chemical and pharmaceutical sciences
Chemists (after passing the corresponding state exam).
