The Medicine programme aims to educate doctors with a multidisciplinary and integrated vision of the problems of health and disease, who respond to the new demands of care, as centred not only on disease, but on the patient and on health promotion.The student will acquire medical training and experience in hospitals, develop clinical reasoning and the culture of prevention. Graduates in medicine and surgery will become doctors and clinical professionals in the fields of health and biomedicine.
Admission is regulated at a national level.A national entrance exam will test:- scientific knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics;- general knowledge, logic, deductive skills, and reading comprehension;To be admitted to the Medicine Programme candidates must be in possession of a Secondary School Diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as valid for University admission.
Fees are governed by a single set of rules applicable to all courses, as articulated in the Regolamento Carriere of the University of Sassari (page 11) and in Annex 5.2 thereof
