Position in a workplace:
The job position created is characterized by the ability to operate technical interventions on biotechnological processes inherent in the use of biological systems and their components in order to get innovative products in health care (medical-veterinarian) and agro-food areas. The biotechnology degree also confers the skills for biological control, the screening and testing of processes and methodologies of biotech products. The Bachelor is able to engage in applied research within biology and biotechnology also intervening on the genome of microorganisms and organisms.
Position-related skills:The course provides a basic preparation and professional technical autonomy in work activities involving the use of methodologies to perform the following procedures:
a) analytical-instrumental techniques for biological investigations;
b) analytical methods in biotechnological, biomolecular, biomedical (human/veterinarian) fields also aimed to research;
c) analytical techniques in the chemical-physical, microbiological, biochemical, genetic and pharmaceutical sectors;
d) technical-analytical and control procedures in the field of Agronomy/environment.
Career opportunities:
Bachelor's degree enables to perform jobs of diagnostic-therapeutic support at medical/veterinary facilities and in biotechnology companies operating in pharmaceutical and agro-food areas. The undergraduate practical activities take place at University, in health care facilities or in regional institutions for zooprophylaxis and agronomy.
