The Degree Program at a glance
The Degree Program in Law provides an academic experience rooted in scientific research and professional training that is both well-established and continuously updated.
The title of Dottore Magistrale in Law is earned through a 5 year program that requires:
• taking 26 courses/exams;
• earning 300 CFU credits
The Magistrale Degree Program’s objectives are:
• in the first years of the program, to provide students with an understanding of the juridical method and cultural/ technical competencies deemed essential for any legal expert to master;
• later in the program, to provide advanced knowledge in more specific subjects;
• to promote legal knowledge at both the European and international level through international mobility initiatives.
The Magistrale Degree Program prepares students for all high-level positions in the legal field, including: lawyer, judge, notary; legal expert in banks, insurance firms, businesses, independent organizations, public administration, European and international institutions, and the Diplomatic career.
Because the degree program is mostly theoretical in nature, a series of agreements have been arranged with legal institutions, municipal and regional administration, public offices and several professional firms in order to ensure students have access to internships that allow them to develop practical skills as well.
Finally, it is noteworthy that the degree program also makes use of new technical tools such as the Didactic Centers network that allows students in various municipalities of the Island (Budoni, Elini, Ghilarza, La Maddalena etc.) to connect to academic headquarters via video conferencing for lectures as well as to gain access to international scientific literature databases, thus connecting with Western and Eastern Europe and North and South America.
