Witten exam: exercises and theory
The student has the opportunity to learn the methods of descriptive statistics, in order to examine the main concepts and techniques for the collection, processing and study of the data for a statistical survey. The student also will achieve a basic understanding of the learning methods of statistical inference and nonparametric statistics.
Basic statistical notions. Statistical distributions and graphical representations. Mean and variability. The statistical relationships between variables. Notes on combinatorics and probability. The sampling distributions. Proceedings of inference. Nonparametric statistics.
