ENGLISH LANGUAGE
One written exam, divided into two parts, both of which will take place on the same
day:
1) B1 level grammar exercises, syntax and lexicon. In addition, a short listening test
of a dialogue or monologue with multiple choice / true or false answer paper.
2) A reading exam of one or more short texts in English, with comprehension
questions .
To attain a CEFR B1 level in English.
Reading and comprehension of several texts written in the English language.
(Literary , history, didactic texts)
The course is divided in two parts:
1) Lessons, conducted by the native language teacher Sarah Parker, focusing
primarily on the morpho-syntax and lexicon aspects of the English language. ( A2-B1
Level ). Listening and oral practice.
2) Lessons conducted by professor Stefania Foddai , that will take place in the second
semester, consisting of the reading and comprehension of various texts in English.
(Literary, history, didactic texts) . The comprehension of the texts will be verified by
various activities such as multiple choice exercises, True or False exercises,
flowcharts, and questions in English in order to enhance writing skills.

Lectures with Stefania Foddai :
a) Oscar Wilde : The Picture of Dorian Gray. Stage 3 . Intermediate B1 . Young adult ELI readers .
b) Lecture notes and materials with the choice of literary, history and didactic texts
( and relative written exercises) to be used in class, will be made available by the
lecturer.
