Basic knowledge of latin language.
The oral exam consists of questions of 3 kinds: - romance linguistics; - translation and analysis of a text being part of the program; - ecdotics.
Knowledge of the origins of the romance languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Occitan, Franco- Provencal, French, Sardinian, Italian, Rumanian) when they separate from Latin, and of the first texts composed in these languages.
Introduction to Romance Philology. Transition vulgar Latin - romance languages: linguistics, historical and cultural aspects. The oldest Romance texts. The critical edition.
