HAGIOGRAPHY
Oral examination. The test must ascertain the ability to clearly illustrate the issues studied and to examine the texts read and commented during the lessons.
Acquiring the necessary philological tools for textes’ analysis. Methodological awareness about hagiographic problems.
The course aims to provide basic notions about the following topics : the origins and development of hagiographic literature; history of the discipline. Selected hagiographic texts will be read and commented.
