The course of Semeiotica e Patologia Medica degli Animali d’Affezione 2 has the objective of teaching students how to perform correctly the clinical and instrumental examination, as well as the recognition of the main pathologies, of the cardio-circulatory and respiratory systems of the dog, cat and horse.
During the course the student acquires the following theoretical and practical skills:
• Technique for the examination of the cardio-circulatory and respiratory apparatus which includes the patient''''s signaling, the collection of anamnestic data, the inspection, the palpation, the percussion and the auscultation.
• Technique of performing some instrumental examinations of cardio-circulatory and respiratory apparatus such as electrocardiogram, measurement of systemic blood pressure and pulmonary ultrasound.
The student also acquires knowledge of the main, congenital and acquired, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases of the dog, cat and horse.
