The course aims to provide a detailed description of the development of the European area so that the student can acquire critical skills about the territorial dynamics of the EU.
The course analyzes different types of tourism in detail and examines the interdependence that they have with: the environment, transport, the local population, employment, territorial planning, agriculture, industry, craft, and trade. Various models of tourism will also be studied introducing some statistical criteria.
Particular attention will be paid to the geographical distribution of the touristic areas, the flow of tourists and geographical factors involved in the location of tourism.
In addition, the concept of touristic space and landscape will be examined.
