At the end of the course will be able to
1. understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
2. deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
3. produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
4. describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
Students will be able to apply their knowledge of English to everyday tasks and situations which occur in real life. They will have acquired enough language to get by, with enough vocabulary to express him/herself with some hesitation and circumlocutions on topics such as family, hobbies and interests, work, travel, and current events.
Students will be able to further their knowledge and apply this knowledge to real life communication with a specific aim.
At the end of the course students will be able to initiate, maintain and close simple face-to-face conversation on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. They will also be able to repeat back part of what someone has said to confirm mutual understanding.
Students will have acquired various transversal skills and they will have enhanced their learning autonomy relative to precise objectives.

Power Point Presentations, worksheets, video clips and audio
Students will be exposed to target language through various texts, both written and audio and grammar /vocabulary teaching will be both via student deduction and direct explanation. Both controlled and freer exercises will follow with an emphasis on real communication.
