ENGLISH LANGUAGE
B1 level or above or those how passed an entry test and feel they have already reached a B1 level should inform their tutor on the first day of lessons (7th October at 12:30) or come to her office hour.
FOR ALL COURSES:
Before enrolling to any exam, students must create their on profile on the e-learning platform. After that, they can enroll but they must do so 3 working days before the exam. The detail on the student profile will help them identify themselves when the exams results are posted on the platform. Those students who do not enroll online will NOT be admitted to the exam. Students must should a valid ID before taking the exam.
Zero Course (optional) e Beginners Course (first semester)

Students should be able to communicate in writing in the past, present and future in familiar situations, and should be able to understand written texts at a European A2 level (ex.KET).
INTERMEDIATE (fist and second semester)

Students should be able to communicate without a dictionary (Reading, Writing and Listening), using a variety of structures and vocabulary at European B1 level (e.g. PET).
Intermediate (first and second semester)

Students should be able to write a short message/informal letter without the use of a dictionary, making use of functional language

Elementary grammatical structures and vocabulary leading up to the European A2 level (ex. KET).
The active forms of the Present Simple and Continuous, Past Simple, Present Perfect, going to, can/could7would;
INTERMEDIATE (fist and second semester)

Skills in reading without a dictionary (eg. understanding the meaning from context, grammar analysis ...), listening to short dialogues and writing short messages/informal letters.
The grammar structures and vocabulary to reach European B1 level (eg. PET) (see the list in the Dispensa for details) .

Writing short messages/informal letters following PET format, error correction activities, review of grammar points chosen on the basis of the feedback given.

The course comprise two Modules: Base (and Zero for absolute beginners) and Intermediate. Full-time students are obliged to attend the course while it is strongly recommended that part-time students who will not pass the English entry test also attend it. Those students who will not take the entry test but feel their knowledge of English reaches the A2 level, should contact their English tutors as soon as possible.
Students cannot sit the English Intermediate Exam if they have not passed the entry, the beginners test (BASE) or haven't submitted an international certificate stating at least an A2 level in English (e.g. KET).
