Having passed the integrated courses preparatory to the exam as required by the study plan.
Basic nursing and hygiene knowledge is required.
At the end of the course the student must demonstrate:
Know and move correctly in the operative block;
Know the sterilization protocols;
Identify the nursing role and skills in the operating theater;
Be able to assist the patient during the Video Assisted Surgery procedures;
Plan perioperative care;
Plan both procedural and educational nursing care to be performed with patients with stoma.
