LITERARY CRITICISM AND COMPARATIVE LITERATURE

Students will reach an in depth knowledge of the history of literary criticism and the theory of 20th century literature, but also of the works of some contemporary author/critics so that they will be skilled in the use of the specific linguistic and cultural tools required by the subject.

The course includes a detailed analysis of the relationship between
history of literature, the canon and literary criticism in two samples of the twentieth century.
