Infections related to welfare practices; Epidemiological models of infectious diseases. Indirect prophylaxis. Direct prophylaxis: on the patient: notification, isolation, absence, health surveillance, epidemiological investigation, diagnostic assessment; on the environment: selection criteria and disinfection and sterilization practices. Community Medicine: Health and disease as collective phenomena. The role of the community doctor in the field of disease, health, epidemiology. The health needs of communities aggregated by medical and social interests, territorial working coexistence; the role of the hygienist as a competent doctor.

Health organization and planning: International, national and regional health organization and main national and regional legal bases; models of international health systems; planning, organization and financing of local and hospital health services; the health information system.
Principles of hospital hygiene: Hospital building typologies; functional organization of the hospital; Day-Hospital, Day-Surgery, Day-Service, PACC.
Health Economics: The traditional economic and health market; health supply and demand; the health production process and its indicators; production and cost functions; analysis and estimation of the costs of a health production process and of diseases; partial and complete health economic evaluations through indicators and as a health planning tool; appropriateness and Diagnosis Related Groups.
Environmental Hygiene: Environment-Health Report with particular regard to the knowledge of risk factors and the elements necessary for the promotion of health in the various environmental sectors (outdoor pollution, indoor pollution, water for human consumption, mineral water, urban solid waste, health waste ).
