The aim of the course is to provide the student with the basic skills for understanding the phenomena concerning the spread of infectious diseases within communities, the prophylaxis of infectious diseases according to the principles of Evidence Based Medicine and Evidence Based Prevention, also in relation to gender differences, the methodologies of Health Education, Health Communication in the perspective of a health promotion policy.
At the end of the course the student must demonstrate:
- knowledge and understanding of general prophylaxis of infectious diseases;
- knowledge and understanding of specific prophylaxis of infectious diseases;
- the ability to plan a vaccine prophylaxis intervention on the basis of national and regional prevention plans
- the ability to plan a health education intervention in line with the principles of Health Communication
