Objectives

The student will must gain a preliminary understanding of disease agents, learn how to evaluate injuries basis of their own choosing and to know the main defensive forms of a local fielded by the body to eliminate pathogens and repair tissue damage.

Contents

Regressive pathology:
General etiology (Endogenous and exogenous causes of disease).
The inflammation: Acute inflammation (alteration of blood vessels and microcirculation, liquid and cellular exudation) and chronic inflammation.
Innate and adaptive immunity: pathological aspects.
Pathophysiology of the sistems or organs: respiratory, kidney, heart and circulatory system, acid-base balance and water-salt, hemostasis and thermoregulation.

Teaching Methods

The course will be formed by a part of laboratory practice 20 hours) where the students can have direct contact with the histopathological and pathomolecular tecniques and deepen the topics of frontal lectures.
