Knowledge of microbiology, immunology and general pathology.
The aim of the course is to provide the student with the basic knowledge of the most important viral diseases of domestic fowl, such as chickens and turkeys, and the skills to diagnose and elaborate the correct prophylactic measures on the basis of sanitary guidelines.
The course will address major viral infectious diseases of domestic fowl, such as chickens and turkeys. For each disease will be described, the specific etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and control strategies.
