The themes and places on which the project will be carried out will be defined from time to time, but in any case will be part of the "urban historical landscape" understood as a large urban context that includes topography, geomorphology, hydrology, natural features, built environment, infrastructure, open spaces, land use models, spatial organization, perceptions and visual relationships, social and cultural practices and values, customs and habits.
Halfway through the university training process, the course aims to provide students with the following knowledge:
• knowing how to set up and scale an urban project both as regards the organization of the settlement structure and the consistency with the existing spaces;
• be able to assess the consistency between the project, the predefined objectives, the principles of sustainability and compatibility with the context;
For the Academic Year in progress the general theme of the settlements characterized by the risk theme and by the cyclic reconstruction will be addressed. The place of the project is L''Aquila and the exercise will concern the drafting of an urban plan coherently with the values of the context.
