AGRICULTURAL LAW
The course aims to encourage the acquisition of adequate knowledge of the legislation of agricultural activity and of regulations concerning the production and trade of healthy, safe and quality agri-food products, in the light of the inter-relationships between agricultural law and food law.
The course is divided into two parts. The first part (6 CFU) deals with the following issues: the reasons for study of agricultural law; the sources of agricultural law; land ownership, agricultural enterprise and agricultural entrepreneurs; the assets of the agri-business organisation; the ways of concern of farm property; the agricultural company and its circulation; the agri-food market, the agro-food products and the sale of the same; food information. The second part (3 CFU) refers to the sources of food law; the legal definition of food and the field of application of food law; the principles of food law in the European Union; the names of food products; distinctive signs and other forms of identification and enhancement of agri-food products; the biological production method.
