The course aims to convey: basic knowledge of the legal principles and regulations concerning environment and landscape protection at the international, european and national level; and those methodological tools and skills which are required in order to understand the role played by normative, administrative and jurisdictional powers in the field, the present challenges facing public choices about environment and landscape, and the evolution trends of the legal system which must be known by public actors and agents operating at all the territorial levels. Learning a "methodology" shall allow students to develop those permanent self-training skills which are necessary in order to approach and solve problems facing regional and local administration in the decision-making process oriented towards the environment and landscape protection.
