The well-defined objective is to use precision agricultural technologies to address problems related to: pollution of agricultural land, major organic and inorganic contaminants, factors that affect mobility and bioavailability. Precision farming and minimization of pollution of the agricultural environment due to fertilizers and plant protection products, with the aim of improving the knowledge of information and communication technologies in the agricultural and food sector through techniques for the detection, representation and analysis of spatial data with the use of mathematical models and IT and telematic tools; The main objective of the course is the acquisition of knowledge to identify the sources, nature, transport mechanisms and reactions of chemical pollutants in the agricultural environment also in relation to the use of modern information technology by the agricultural company.
Module 1. The topics dealt with during the course will be the following: air pollution, atmospheric composition and its characteristics, atmospheric chemistry. Pollution of water used in agriculture, chemical parameters and quality of water bodies to be used in agriculture, methods of abatement of contaminants, reuse of waste water in agriculture. Module 2: Practical exercises in the classroom with the use of software for the determination of the stoichiometry of organic metal complexes, essential to establish the mobility in the soil.
