The course is designed to enable students to critically examine an empirical research. Moreover, at the end of the course, students are expected to have acquired the ability and competences necessary to adequately plan and conduct an empirical research. To that end, students will learn the main pros and cons of instruments and techniques for the collection of information (from secondary and primary sources, questionnaires and interviews); for its organization (coding and data matrix); for data analysis (one and two variables). They will also be able to understand the principles that orient logics, riflexivity and scientific thought and argumentation.
