COMPUTER SCIENCE – MOD. 1
The student shall understand the basic principles of Computer Science as well as the theorerical and practical aspects for a correct usage of an operating system, word processors, spreadsheets, and multimedia presentation softwares.
The course overviews the main topics in Computer Science and also explains how to use office automation programs.
The topics that will be addressed in the theoretical lessons are the following:
- hardware architectures of modern computers;
- basic functionalities of modern operating systems and file systems management;
- algorithmic approach to solve problems;
- Internet and its services;
- Word processors;
- Multimedia presentation softwares;
- Spreasheets.
