The aim of the course is to provide the student with the basic skills of information science.
Digital skills should already have been acquired on the basis of the MIUR guidelines in secondary school. Therefore, it is a matter of first of all extending the theoretical knowledge related to information science, in particular those concerning the extrapolation of information from data, computer networks and databases.
The main aim (for this will be done in the lesson of practical examples) is to make the student autonomous once he enters the world of work not only in the use of the most common IT tools (also for the processing of descriptive statistics, present in any research work), but also in the resolution of small practical problems that often arise when working on the PC.
At the end of the course the student will have acquired:
- knowledge and understanding of the functioning of computers, which will also serve to choose correctly but also following a principle of economy, the computer to be purchased and the peripherals to be connected;
- knowledge and understanding of processing, processing and processing of data (for example through the choice of the appropriate sampling type);
- knowledge of the use of spreadsheets, text applications and drafting slides;
-ability concerning the reading and implementation of E-R schemes.
