The student must be able to apply the concepts of statistical inference in the practical cases presented to him, during the course of study and also subsequently.
This will require skills related not only to the practical resolution (to the PC) of the problem, but also to the choice of the tool suitable for the purpose (choice of appropriate distribution, level of significance, confidence interval and hypothesis test). In this way, when the student, the graduate student or the new graduate will perform clinical research, will be autonomous in the part concerning the processing of data and the extrapolation of information.
Furthermore, it must be able to make a critical reading of a scientific publication (abstract, output, etc.) concerning the application of inferential statistics for the carrying out of clinical studies.
