The aim of the integrated course in Zoology and Botany is to provide the students with the essential notions of systematic and general zoology and botany. Students must acquire the skills in the ability to recognize the main invertebrates, vertebrates and plant essences of veterinary interest. They will also have to acquire knowledge on the different types of organization and functioning of animal and plant organisms. The course aims to stimulate learning with a clear and precise use of terminology for the specific recognition of animals and plant essences of veterinary interest.Furthermore the course aims to develop the ability to characterize the individual animal and plant species for a profitable use in the subsequent professionalizing subjects of veterinary medicine.
