Objectives

The objective is to provide students with a basic knowledge of ultrasound image formation and current technology, and to perform routine abdominal ultrasonographic examination in dogs and cats and to ultrasound findings of normal and abnormal liver, spleen, kidney, bladder, stomach and bowel

Contents

Physics of ultrasound; interpretation of ultrasound images: echogenicity and echotexture; common ultrasonographic artifact and their significance; perform an ultrasonographic examination of the abdomen in dog and cat echographyc anathomy of liver, spleen, kidney, bladder, stomach, bowel; main pathological findings
