The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the method and categories of the empirical analysis of the Doctrine of the State. At the end of the course, students are expected to: (a) possess basic knowledge of the characteristics of State theories; (b) be able to understand and interpret the dynamics of the general concepts of the State and law.(c) The Constitution and forms of state.(d)the concept of public organization and the legal regulation of public organizations.

-General theory of State.
-Theories on State Variations between the medieval and modern characters.
-Theoretical references and aspects about the nature of State. Normativist, institutional aspects.
-Theories of state formation, conflict and domonance.
-State and Constitution between modern constitutionalism and neo constitutionalism.
-The Constitution and its various meanings. Formalism and realism.
-The forms of State, the organization of the democratic constitutional state, the sources of law.
-The “crisi dello Stato” in the context of globalization. Others causes, ideological and even cultural character.
