The evaluation includes an oral test during which, with the help of the images, the student will have to analyze (from the cultural, authorial, formal, stylistic, iconographic, viewpoint of the context) at least three works of art (architecture, painting, sculpture). The exam test score is given by a mark expressed in thirtieths. The final evaluation will take into account the knowledge acquired, the analytical skills (reading of the technical-formal, iconographic and style characteristics; recognition of the author or of the cultural context of reference) and criticism, of terminological precision, expressive mastery and ability to establish links between the various program topics.
To pass the exam, and therefore obtain a grade of not less than 18/30, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired a sufficient knowledge of the topics covered during the course. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must instead demonstrate to have acquired an excellent knowledge of all subjects.
