HAGIOGRAPHY
The exam will take place in oral form. Each student will answer one or more questions concerning literary history and then read and comment on one or more texts.
Knowledge of the historical-cultural background of the New Testament with its main philological and literary problems; knowledge of the Ancient Christian Literature production and competence-development in text analysis.
Hagiography: the course will provide a general overview on Hagiography with particular attention to philological-literary aspects. The main will concern: history and methodology of the discipline; main authors and works (with anthology).
Lessons will be held on-line during the 1st semester from 4th November to 4th December 2020: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday hh. 12.00-13.30.
