Objectives

The course will provide the theoretical and methodological synchronic-diachronic basis of the discipline in the various fields of reference, with particular attention to experimental acoustic phonetics and its modern applications in various fields.

Contents

- major issues of General Linguistics and its different fields of expertise: phonetics and phonology, morphology, lexical aspets, syntactics, semantics and pragmatics. Diachronic-synchronic aspects; diatopic, diastratic,diaphasic and diamesic variations
- fundamentals of acoustic, articulatory and auditory-perceptual phonetics; phonological contrasts in Sardinian, Italian varieties and major European languages; interferences in learning processes of one or more second languages from Sardinian and Italian regional of Sardinia; instruments and techniques for voice analysis, lab demonstrations, and related areas of application; phonetic-phonological transcription techniques.

Classical lessons, seminars, video tutorials, laboratory: face to face activity and small workshops (5/6 students each): 60 hours of direct contact (including 20 hours of laboratory)
