There are no prerequisites, except for students whose exam is worth 6 cfu. Such students must possess a level of knowledge equal to A2. Those who do not have it are invited to follow the language classes from the first semester.

Assessment Methods

Verification of learning:

The final exam will include both a WRITTEN part and an ORAL one :
(a) The WRITTEN TEST aims at ascertaining the knowledge of the grammar and the achievement of level B1 in the comprehension of written and oral texts and in the written expression.

(b) the ORAL TEST aims at ascertaining the achievement of the B1 competence in the comprehension an in the oral expression. In the oral exam the students will present the content of tone texts chosen from those that will be indicated during the lessons and will do a reading test and an oral translation.
Students whose exam is worth 6 or 9 cfu will have to take only the reading and translation test.

The tests take place according to the Department's calendar. The written and oral tests can be passed in different exam sessions during the year. To be able to take the oral exam studentes must have passed the written test.

The first exam session useful to take the exam is the summer session of the academic year.2019-2020.

Objectives

Achievement of the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in Spanish and practice of translation from Spanish into Italian.

Contents

The course is divided into two parts: language classes and lessons

1. LANGUAGE CLASSES
The language classes are held by the mother tongue instructor, prof.ssa María Andrea Charry (charry@uniss.it), and are aimed at learning grammar and at achieving the B1 CEFR level in the 4 skills: oral and written comprehension and oral and written production. The language classes are annual and are divided into 60 hours in the first semester and 60 in the second.

2. LESSONS
The lessons, which take place in the second semester, amount to 25 hours and are held by the teacher, prof. Laura Luche (luche@uniss.it). They consist in the contrastive analysis between Spanish and Italian made through reading and practicing the translation from Spanish to Italian.
