Students will have to acquire the main notions of romance philology and know the development and the eritage of the medieval literary civilization.
a) Introduction to Linguistics and Romance Philology. Vulgar Latin and the birth of Romance languages; phonetics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary (substrate, superstrate, adstrate, loan words).
b) Voices of women in Romance poetry.
