• understand the principles and methods of approach to applied epidemiology, the methodology and technique of prevention, with respect to individuals, communities and populations, in public health and in the hospital;
• to know and evaluate health promotion methodologies and techniques, aimed at people, the community and specific communities;
• be able to identify and analyze the methodological and programmatic legislative bases for integrating the doctor into the national and regional health service;
• to know and analyze the theory of health supply and demand, production and cost functions, the economic evaluation of health systems through indicators;
• use cultural and technical elements relating to professional aspects in the relationship between environment and health, with particular regard to the knowledge of the aigiological and epidemiological elements inherent in the various environmental sectors (air, water, soil, food, waste).
