The formative objective of the course of studies in gynaecology and obstetrics is the teaching of the fundamental principles of gynecology and obstetrics for the physician of medicine and general. The anatomy of the Female genital apparatus, the alterations of the menstrual cycle, the control of fertility, menopause, benign and malignant gynecological neoplasms, the physiology of pregnancy and childbirth, infectious diseases and Metabolic in pregnancy. The course includes frontal lectures, seminars and theoretical-practical exercises in the surgeries and services of the obstetric and gynecological clinic. In particular, students, in small groups, attend departments and surgeries under the supervision of structured physicians and resident physicians. The students also attend the operating rooms to attend gynecological and obstetric surgeries. Students also attend the delivery rooms. At the end of the course the student must have acquired knowledge about the physiology of the female genital apparatus and the pregnancy for the diagnostic and therapeutic framing of the main obstetric and gynecological pathologies.
